Chapter 2 Your Stepdad is Really Handsome
"Henry."
Victor said the name in a calm voice.
The brothers beside him couldn''t believe their ears and whispered, "What?? Your stepdad is that good-looking??"
Derek peeked out from behind Henry, "Sir said, the young master needs to go home immediately."
"Why waste time talking? Just take him."
Henry said nonchalantly, and with a wave of his hand, three bodyguards appeared behind him, went inside, grabbed Victor, and started to take him away.
No matter how much Victor struggled, it was useless. "Damn you, Henry, you''re something! Let go of me!"
No matter how much Victor yelled, it was to no avail.
After they had gone far, Henry gave a slight smile to the people inside the house, a smile that seemed to captivate everyone''s soul.
He said, "Sorry for the trouble, I hope I won''t find Victor in a place like this again."
"Understood, understood."
The few young men laughed so hard their eyes disappeared. No matter what Henry said, they agreed to everything, selling Victor out completely, even revealing his usual escape routes.
Henry achieved his goal and raised his hand for Derek to present some small gifts, "Just a small token, please accept it."
After delivering the gifts, Henry went to find the cursing Victor outside.
Victor was locked in the car, and Henry opened the door and sat next to him.
The moment he sat down, Victor went silent as if he were mute, then scooted far away as if avoiding the plague, afraid that Henry''s scent would disgust him.
Henry didn''t mind Victor''s small actions. He picked up the laptop in the car and started working, saying in a deep voice, "You ran away on your own, and you think you''re in the right?"
Victor knew he was in the wrong but still retorted arrogantly, "Ran away? What a joke, this is my home, I can leave whenever I want, who are you to control me?"
Henry''s typing hands paused for a moment. He smiled slightly, raised his head, and with his beautiful fox-like eyes, lazily and slowly said, "I can control you. Who do you think provides for your food, clothing, and everything else?"
"Who cares about what you provide! I spend my dad''s money," Victor retorted stubbornly.
Henry didn''t look at Victor again, chuckled lightly, and without any rush, continued typing on his laptop, saying, "Your dad''s money is mine. Don''t forget, I''m your dad now too."
Victor was left speechless, angrily turning away from Henry.
When they got home, Henry threw an English book at Victor, "From today, your study time will be in my study."
Victor glared at Henry fiercely, "You''re ruthless."
Henry smiled slightly, "Please, Mr. Smith."
Victor snorted coldly, grabbed the book, and walked to the study, cursing all the way, not repeating a single word, probably cursing Henry''s ancestors up to eighteen generations.
Henry didn''t get angry, good-naturedly following Victor into the study, and before entering, he specifically arranged for Derek to block all of the young master''s escape routes.
In the study, Victor, filled with resentment, was memorizing those 30 English words, while Henry finished the last of his documents at the desk.
"Have you finished memorizing, young master? You can eat only after you''re done."
Victor reluctantly threw the English book at Henry, "Check it quickly."
After checking, Henry nodded in satisfaction, placed the book on the table, and said, "Not bad. Before bed, memorize a classical Chinese text."
"Henry, I advise you not to push your luck!" Victor was immediately displeased, glaring at Henry as if he wanted to tear him apart.
Henry wasn''t afraid of this snarling little wolf cub. He calmly met his gaze and said, "Two texts. If you bargain again, it''ll be four."
Victor''s face turned dark with anger. He grabbed the book and slammed the door on his way out.
After dinner, Victor hurried back to his room. He couldn''t stand being in this house for another moment. Henry, this tormentor, would drive him to his death if he stayed any longer.
He planned to run away tonight and seek refuge at his good friend''s house.
With that in mind, Victor opened the window to escape, but his smile froze.
He saw the metal bars welded outside his window and cursed.
That night, when Victor went to Henry''s study to memorize the texts, it was visibly clear that his resentment had deepened.
Henry didn''t need to ask; he knew Victor had discovered all his escape routes were blocked.
"Mr. Smith, start memorizing. You can''t sleep until you finish two texts tonight."
Victor gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, Henry, just you wait."
The next morning,
Victor, who usually skipped morning classes and often played truant, was up at six, packing his bag and ready to go to school without even eating breakfast.
Derek thought he was seeing things.
"Only you, sir, can handle this little tyrant in the entire Smith Family."
Henry leaned against the headboard, holding a financial newspaper, a smile on his lips as he listened to Derek recount the morning''s events.
After listening, Henry pointed out, "He''s just trying to avoid trouble at school."
Hopefully, he wouldn''t cause any more problems.
Derek suddenly remembered the task at hand and quickly handed something to Henry, "Sir, this is today''s inhibitor."
An Omega''s heat requires three consecutive days of inhibitor injections. This was the second day.
Henry took the inhibitor, "Remember to send someone to bring Mr. Smith home tonight, saying he''s invited for dinner. He can hide for a while, but not forever. He won''t escape the texts he needs to memorize."
"Yes, sir."
Derek agreed, feeling a bit sorry for Victor. The young master was in for a tough time.
During morning reading at school, Victor sneezed at his desk but it didn''t bother him. He rubbed his nose and continued to sleep.
Usually, he found school annoying, but today he felt a strange sense of affection for it, sleeping especially well.
But the good sleep only lasted until noon.
After school, just as he was about to leave, his good friend Bernard came running over in a panic.
"Mr. Smith, something''s wrong, Mr. Smith!"
Victor paused, his backpack slung over his shoulder, and asked, "What happened?"
Bernard caught his breath and quickly said, "Frank was stopped by George, who said he was going to beat him up."
"George?"
The young master of the Era Group, who, relying on his father''s power and influence, often bullied the weak. His father was also a tough character, constantly making things difficult for ACT in business. The old man worried about it every day, and Victor had long been fed up with them.
